Mark your calendars and set your DVR! Sunday, November 10th at 9:00pm, Temecula will be the focus of a Restaurant Express episode, a new television series featuring host Chef Robert Irvine on the Food Network channel.

About Restaurant Express

On his all-new series, Restaurant Express, Robert Irvine will challenge nine finalists to survive a culinary road trip across the West by proving not only their fearless culinary chops, but also their business-savvy mindset, if they want to keep their seat on the Restaurant Express bus. Week after week, it's up to the contestants to demonstrate their staying power and impress Robert - a notoriously no-nonsense chef and experienced entrepreneur. At the end of the journey, only one contestant will have earned the title of executive chef and a leadership position on the team at the flagship restaurant The M Resort, Spa and Casino in Las Vegas. The first episode of Restaurant Express premieres Sunday, November 3 at9:00pm

Restaurant Express Visits Temecula

The second episode airing the following Sunday, November 10th  was filmed in Old Town. Contestants were required to take a walking inventory of existing Old Town restaurants, develop a restaurant idea and pitch it to Irvine and Temecula's Mayor Mike Naggar.

Mayor Naggar was asked by Food Network Producers to stand side by side on camera with Chef Robert Irvine and judge the contestant's restaurant prototype proposals on whether or not it would be a "Temecula fit".

"It was exciting to see a nationally recognized cable network transform Temecula's downtown into a television production site. Chef Robert Irvine, the contestants and the Food Network Team were a blast to work with. I am excited to watch and see how our downtown district, our local restaurants and our citizens shine on the television screen!" stated Mayor Naggar.
