5 WAYS TO SAVE WATER AROUND THE HOUSE

  1. SHORTER SHOWERS:

Limit your daily showers to 5 minutes. Set a timer or select a favorite song to play and when it's done, turn off the water. Another helpful hint is to place a bucket under the faucet to collect the water as it heats up. The water you collect can be used to water plants in the garden.

   2. WASH FULL LOADS OF LAUNDRY AND DISHES:

Don't try to save time by running a half full load, save our much needed resource instead and only run full loads.

  3. USE A BROOM TO CLEAN OFF DRIVEWAY AND SIDEWALKS:

I know most of us like the look of a hosed down driveway, but it really takes a lot of water to do it. Settle for a broom instead and this will help keep your bill down.

     4. WATER LAWN 1-2 DAYS INSTEAD OF 5:

Everyone likes a green lawn I know, but in this drought it's very important to conserve. Limit your watering to 1 or 2 days at the most. Remember to only water early in the morning or late at night as these avoid the peak charges.

 5. TURN WATER OFF WHEN YOU BRUSH YOUR TEETH:

This one seems like a no-brainer to most I'm sure. Please shut off the faucet while you brush or even wash your face. You will be suprised how much water will be saved!
